Client Context
Pure Roofing is a premium residential and commercial roofing contractor serving Virginia and Montgomery County, Maryland, from its headquarters in Manassas. The company’s roots run back to 1983, when founder Billy Sampson’s father started C&B Roofing in the same region. Today Pure Roofing handles residential and commercial roofing, storm damage restoration, siding, gutters, doors and windows, and insulation.
The company had already earned the credentials that carry weight in its field, including Owens Corning Platinum Preferred status and GAF certification, along with GuildQuality recognition for customer satisfaction. What it did not have was a website that reflected that standing or produced leads to match it.
The Problem 321 Web Marketing Solved
When we began the engagement, Pure Roofing’s website worked against the business in two specific ways.
First, the service content was thin. A company that performs residential and commercial roofing, storm damage restoration, siding, gutters, and more was represented by a short list of pages that described those offerings in broad strokes. There was little page-level structure for search engines to index against, so the site captured almost none of the search demand tied to the services Pure Roofing actually sells.
Second, the site had almost no local footprint. Pure Roofing serves a wide area across Northern Virginia and Montgomery County, but the old site gave search engines little reason to associate the company with any specific town or county. A homeowner searching for a roof replacement in their own community was unlikely to find Pure Roofing, even though the company works there.
Marketing activity was also not yet connected to booked work. Call and form tracking had not been implemented, so lead sources by page, service, and location were unavailable for reporting.
What We Did
The work followed our Proven Process, and the strategy was shaped by the same lead and lag measures we use to tie marketing activity to business outcomes. For Pure Roofing, that meant building pages against the searches homeowners and property managers actually run, then setting up the tracking to measure what those pages produce. To capture demand during the build, we took an ad campaign live in week 3.
The full website rebuild was included at no additional cost as part of our marketing engagement, a deliverable typically valued at $20,000 or more. The site is part of the strategy because a high-performing site is the foundation the rest of the marketing depends on.
A Site Architecture Built Around Where Pure Roofing Works
We organized the site’s navigation around the primary areas where Pure Roofing provides service and built 67 dedicated location pages to support them. Each location page gives search engines a specific, indexable reason to connect Pure Roofing with a given community, and gives homeowners in that community a page that speaks to them directly.
Alongside the location pages, we built 30 service pages, one focused page for each distinct service. That structure creates a far larger surface area for search visibility and gives every service its own conversion opportunity.
Lead Capture and Conversion Tracking
We placed clear calls to action throughout the site and structured page content around user intent and the questions Pure Roofing’s customers ask most often, so a visitor can move from question to contact without friction.
Underneath that, we implemented a full measurement stack, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and WhatConverts for call and form lead tracking. From launch, Pure Roofing can see which services, pages, and locations generate leads, which turns marketing from guesswork into a set of decisions backed by data.
Custom Functionality Built for the Way Homeowners Search
Because Pure Roofing’s service area is broad, we built a custom interactive map with a location finder powered by the Google Maps API, so a visitor can immediately confirm the company works in their area. The build also included a team directory with custom filtering, plus custom FAQ accordions and expandable content sections that keep long, useful answers available without burying the page in text.
For storm-damage homeowners, we built dedicated pricing and insurance content that explains how the process works, since these customers often arrive unsure what to expect. Pure Roofing provides detailed documentation of storm damage that a homeowner can use when filing an insurance claim, and the claims process remains between the homeowner and their insurer.
Speed, Accessibility, and a Clean Technical Launch
Every technical decision served the same goal, a fast site that search engines can read and every visitor can use.
- The site was built mobile-first, since most roofing searches happen on a phone, often right after a storm.
- Optimized images and lazy loading reduce the page weight and speed up load times.
- Schema markup helps the site appear well in search results.
- Redirects were configured to preserve the existing SEO value through the launch.
- A build to WCAG accessibility best practices widens the audience the site serves and supports search performance at the same time.
The location-page system is a repeatable template, so we can add new service areas as Pure Roofing grows, without rebuilding the site. That matters for a company with North Carolina and Pennsylvania already on its roadmap, allowing each new market to become another indexable page and not a fresh development project.
The same foundation positions the site for AI-driven search. Schema markup and content organized around the questions customers actually ask give search engines and AI systems clean, citable answers, which is what earns visibility in AI Overviews and assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
Results at Launch
The full site went live on July 1, 2026. Because traffic and lead data accrue over time, the launch numbers form a baseline that we will measure against in a performance update at 90 days.
The site cleared the technical bars that most influence how it will perform. It scored 91 on Google PageSpeed Insights and passed Core Web Vitals across the primary landing pages, two signals that support search rankings and keep visitors from leaving before a page loads. Every call and form submission is tracked from day one, so the first lead is measured instead of lost, and the site now carries far more indexable surface area than the handful of pages it replaced.
